What corrugated sheet metal is
Corrugated (or trapezoidal) sheet metal is a pre-painted steel sheet, folded into ribs that give it strength. It goes up quickly, covers large spans and costs less than tiles — which is why it is the first choice for industrial and agricultural buildings. From us you get it straight from the Bilka range, with everything needed: fixings, accessories, and the dripstop anti-condensation membrane if you want it.
The Bilka profiles — T18, T35, T45
- T18 — low profile (18 mm rib). For facades and roofs with closely spaced supports. Clean, discreet look.
- T35 — 35 mm rib, the most widely used. General use: industrial halls, warehouses, barns, sheds. A good balance between price and strength.
- T45 — 45 mm rib, the strongest. For large spans and higher loads, where you want greater distances between supports.
All of them in thicknesses from 0.4 to 1.0 mm, matt or gloss, in any colour from the chart. You choose the thickness according to the span and how “stiff” you want the roof to be.
Dripstop — the sheet that does not drip
In uninsulated buildings, sheet metal condenses: the warm, humid air inside touches the cold sheet and turns into water that drips. Dripstop is a membrane bonded to the back of the sheet right at the factory — it absorbs the condensation like a sponge and holds it until it dries, instead of letting it drip onto fodder, animals or machinery. It comes ready to install and does not peel off over time.
